Arlington Rugby Club plays under the jurisdiction of the Massachusetts Youth Rugby Organization (MYRO). The MYRO rugby year runs from September 1 to August 31. A player’s age/grade is based on their school grade on Sept 1 of the current season.
Under 8 (Flag)
At this stage players will learn the basics and foundation of the sport in a safe and engaging atmosphere. Players will learn basic passing, catching and taught the rules of the sport through mini games and fun rugby related activities. Games are played on a much smaller field and directed by on field coaching.

Under 10 (Flag)
U10 players will still work on learning and improving the basics of the game. Drills and mini games will be introduced to help players to develop good hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness and quick decision-making skills as well as basic plays.

Under 12 (Flag)
Players at the U12 level will be taught more advanced rugby plays and techniques, as well as improving on the basics. This level is designed to ready a player for tackle rugby and is for children in or leaving the 5th or 6th grades.

Under 14 (Tackle)
Our U14 tackle program for both boys and girls currently in or leaving 7th and 8th grade. Our aim is to provide a fun and safe opportunity to learn the fundamentals of tackle rugby and safely manage the transition from non-contact to contact.

GIRLS Under 18 (Tackle)
Arlington Rugby Club is hoping to add a girls High School team for the spring or summer of 2025 that will be open to girls in or leaving 9th through 12th grades. Players will be able to learn not only the fundamentals, but also advanced techniques in a fun and safe environment and participate in tournaments throughout New England.
