
Flag Rugby (Non Contact)
ROOKIE RUGBY (Kindergarten)
At this stage players will learn the basics and foundation of the sport in a safe and engaging atmosphere. Players will learn basic passing, catching and taught the rules of the sport through mini games and fun rugby related activities. Games are played on a much smaller field and directed by on field coaching. This level is designed for children in or leaving Kindergarten.
UNDER 8s (Grades 1st & 2nd)
This level is similar to Rookie Rugby, but for the slightly older player and is intended for children in or leaving 1st or 2nd grades. Players will learn the basics and foundation of the sport and given more freedom during games for open play.
UNDER 10s (Grades 3rd & 4th)
U10 players will still work on learning and improving the basics of the game. Drills and mini games will be introduced to help players to develop good hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness and quick decision-making skills as well as basic plays. This level is designed for children in or leaving 3rd or 4th grade.
UNDER 12s (Grades 5th & 6th)
Players at the U12 level will be taught more advanced rugby plays and techniques, as well as improving on the basics. This level is designed to ready a player for tackle rugby and is for children in or leaving the 5th or 6th grades.
