The Spring season is nearly upon us and registration for Arlington Rugby Club is now open through Arlington Recreation. This year, we are excited to announce the club is adding two new age divisions!
Arlington Rugby Club are now looking to field U8 (2nd grade), U10 (3rd/4th) teams alongside or existing U12’s (5th/6th grade). Players will learn the basics of rugby through drills and games that develop a range of ball handling, running and evasion skills. Participants learn the importance of teamwork and respect for opponents, coaches and referees, which are key elements of all athletic endeavors. No previous experience is required.
We are also very excited to be adding a U14 tackle program, where we will provide a fun and safe opportunity to learn the fundamentals of tackle rugby with the use of tackle pads or donuts, before progressing onto tackle drills with teammates and eventually into competitive games.
Both flag and tackle are co-ed.
The Spring program will run from April 9 through May 31 2024 on Tuesdays and Fridays at North Union Park (Thompson Elementary School).
