NEWPORT, RI – This past weekend, Arlington Rugby Club travelled down to Rhode Island to compete in the Newport 7s tournament hosted by the Newport Rugby Club. The eight team competition was a little fiercer than the spring season, but A-Town held their own, going 2-1 in their pool and a top 4 finish overall. But most importantly, the kids all had fun, and it was great to see the spring and summer trainings start to come together on the pitch. Good work Arlington!
Congratulations to Worcester Youth Rugby for taking the title. A huge thank you to Island Rugby/Newport RFC for throwing a great tournament and providing pizzas for all the kids, and thank you to the Wolfhounds, for loaning us a few players in our final match, and Mystic River Youth Rugby for giving a few of our kids some extra game time.
