WRENTHAM, MA – Arlington’s U14s finished their summer campaign on a high note at the Wrentham Tournament this past weekend, in what will their last time donning the maroon jerseys for the season. Arlington defeated NERC and South Shore in pool play with some brilliant running and hard tackling to keep Arlington ahead of the competition. In the championship match Arlington would once again face off against the Sharks to take home the gold.
Meanwhile in the flag divisions, Arlington’s U10 and U12 teams both made it to the gold medal match in their divisions. The U10s made a valiant effort, but ultimately fell to the tournament hosts, Wrentham Barbarians. In the U12 final, Arlington gave it their all in a tight match against a strong Worcester side.
In all, it was a successful day for Arlington Rugby, with all three age groups finishing among the top teams of the day. Thank you to the Wrentham Barbarians for putting on a great tournament. Next stop… Bay State Games!
